In advance, for the lost sheep relay, I first traced a sheep outline onto black construction paper, and using a cutting mat and craft knife cut out the sheep shape from the center of the paper. Use the coin in this craft to discuss the importance of this story with your children. Ask them, did the coin know that it was lost? (No!) To illustrate the Parable of the Lost Coin, I created a diorama using My Digital Studio. I added background images to the walls and floor of the 'house' and created the woman, her broom, and her lamp using punch art shapes. The kids add a small gold brad behind one of the water jars sitting on the floor to represent her lost coin.
