TMNT Color Classics volume 2 #1-7: Collects the later Eastman and/or Laird stories that followed. TMNT Color Classics volume 3 #1-15: Collects the final Eastman/Laird stories where they returned as a team and did an epic finale. So if you buy all of those, you get ALL of the TMNT stories by the original creators.

If you prefer color, TMNT The Works Volume 1 is the same thing, just in color. Though, the original series shines in black and white since that was its original formatting. Reading the TMNT Color Classics and noticed something odd.
Why on this page do the Mousers have blood on this page? The Ultimate Collection is basically the Mirage comics as the originally were, in Black and White. I prefer reading comics as they were originally intend, so I'm biased towards collections that preserve the creator's vision. If the B&W screentone heavy style is a barrier, though, I say go for the Color Classics! Discover, or revisit, the original Mirage Studios' comics collected in order-and in color-for the first time!
