I only read it in black and white and yi abdoluteoy loved it since the colored drawings at the cover + back kick in even better. I usually prefer the original black and white version, as a lot of colored manga, mainly the official ones by shueisha, feel very souless and don't encapsulate the spirit of the colored pages by the original authors. By default, Japanese manga is in black and white to save time and effort and to make books physically lighter, but manga artists still have use for color.
