I'm so often asked about my bookshelves, where to get beautiful editions of classics, and how to style a home library. I'm excited to answer all these questions with an in-depth tour of my shelves! In this post you'll find links to every book in my library, styling tips, and more DRESS LINKED My bookshelves have evolved quite a bit over the years. I decided that my first big project.
I got sooo many new bookshelves (a whole wall of them). I thought it would be so fun if you cam along on my bookshelf organization journey! I started tracking my reading in 2017, and I have read an average of 131 books per year since then. From 2020-24, with fewer yoga classes to teach and very little commuting to studios and to the gy.
But bookshelves, like small children and cakes left out too long, are apt to change! And many of you are NEW so I figure a new tour is still in order. Plus, let's be real, my shelf is freaking fantastic and we should all just admire it for a while and then admire me for my fantastic curating abilities. Color coding shelves can be absolutely beautiful, but sometimes it gets painful seeing series separated, and a lot of fantasy covers seem to be the same dark blues and blacks.
But contemporaries are usually bright and inviting, making it easy to convert them to a rainbow! Plus, less series will be separated. If you search on Instagram or Pinterest for bookshelves, you'll soon be overwhelmed with hundreds if not thousands of pictures of absolutely gorgeous bookshelves. Organized by colour, decorated so perfectly it makes you cry or make you just a teensy bit jealous.
To deal with this jealousy, I may h. I didn't realize bookshelf tours were a thing, but an hour later on YouTube, I can see that they are quite a thing. It's neat to see so many ways of organizing books (and the other cute goodies tucked into people's bookshelves).
Well, without further ado, on the recommendation of Fantasy & Felines, my bookshelf tour. Enjoy! I give an updated bookshelf tour with new bookcases and in a new room which I break down by the genres I collect. After unhauling a lot of books, I figured it was time to finally organize my bookshelves in way that displays my favorite books that I've read.
Plus, I give a bookshelf tour! Bookshelf Tour! Blog Goodreads Bookstagram Twitter Reviews for info on how I organize my shelves and my current book count! So my current count (as of 3/24/19) is 1,404 books, however, I took these photos a couple of weeks ago so it was a little less at that point (closer to 1,390).
