I could never take the Akatsuki seriously because of their nail polish. No judgment to nail polish wearers, it's just hilarious to me seeing it on these ultra powerful stoic super villains wearing it because it indicates that at some point, they have to put it on and let it dry. Im on episode 81 and 82 of the original Anime for the first time.
