So, it is harmless to say that African pygmy hedgehogs originate in all combinations and shades. Certain colors are challenging to breed because they will charge you a lot in the end. Usually, dark colors cost you a higher price.
I often use Pied for hybrids but sometimes can just get a bunch of orange results, like with the summer cypress. I switched to Watermelon and got that hybrid that way. I've noticed that the hedgies with red eyes (Clear and Apricot) seem to have a secondary dominant color of red.
