Red's Pikachu (Japanese: レッドのピカチュウ Red's Pikachu) is typically Red 's first Pokémon in various media. It is based on Ash's Pikachu from Pokémon the Series, and it is one of Red's signature Pokémon. In Pokemon Red/Green/Blue, you play as Red and have 3 starters at your disposal, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtal, what do you think Red actually picked.
In the manga, Red has: 1. Pikachu 2. Poliwrath 3.
Venuaur 4. Aerodactyl 5. Snorlax 6.
Espeon In the game (Souls Silver and Heart Gold), Red's team is: 1. Pikachu 2. Lapras 3.Venusaur 4.

Red is the canon name of the protagonist of the Generation I games and is a Pokémon Trainer from Pallet Town, Kanto. He is the first character to be playable in the Pokémon series and his initial appearance is set in the Generation I main games. He has since then made various appearances in Pokémon media, including the Generation III remakes of Red, Green and Blue; FireRed and LeafGreen.
This version of Red has two starters: a Pikachu, as seen in Pokémon Yellow, or a Bulbasaur, as seen in official guidebooks that give him a Bulbasaur. Considering his ownership of all the starters when challenged in Pokémon Crystal, Red likely had a Pikachu as a starter, considering Pokémon Yellow allows players to get all three starters. Because all the variants of red have a Pikachu, Ash (Red's copy for the anime) has one, Red in Pokemon Special manga has one, and you even have one with red if you play pokemon yellow.
So I think that's why. Is Pikachu a good Pokémon in Red? Despite its fame, though, Pikachu isn't the strongest Pokemon in the game. Players can always give Pikachu the Thunderstone and evolve it into Raichu, a much stronger version.
However, that doesn't stop people from using Pikachu on their team and making it into the Elite Four, just like Ash did in the anime. In Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, Red's team has notable differences to his previous core series teams, lacking Charizard and Blastoise which now appear as the highest levelled Pokémon in Blue and Green 's teams respectively. Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal Red uses two Full Restores.
For Red's debut, he starts off with Pikachu, which focuses on paralyzing and outspending players. Next in his team are Blastoise, Venesaur, and Charizard, who not only bring the best of their primary types but also have additional coverage. The last in his team are Snolax and Espeon/Lapras.
What legendary Pokemon does Red have? For other variants of Pikachu belonging to Red, see Red's Pikachu. This Pikachu is an Electric-type Pokémon owned by Red. Red captured Pikachu in Viridian Forest with his Bulbasaur.
Immediately after catching him, Red sent him out and allowed Pikachu to have a look around. Pikachu then engaged a Caterpie in battle as a Zapdos flew by. Later in Johto, Pikachu ran alongside a group of swimming.
