This same glitch can also be used to, briefly, play any level under water - which is what causes the palette glitches. UPDATE: The Cyborg Sonic trick does in fact work with Tails. The resulting palette glitch gives him the same colour palette as Wechnia, the corrupted version of Knuckles caused by left over Tails code in Knuckles' Chaotix.
