But, a lot of the themes in this show seem way to mature for a young audience. Also, many of the visuals are slightly horrifying. Surely, this show is too scary for small children? Adventure Time (TV Series 2010-2018).

Ultimately, the decision of whether "Adventure Time" is appropriate for a particular child rests with the parent or guardian. It's advisable to watch a few episodes beforehand to get a feel for the content and determine if it aligns with your family's values and your child's maturity level. However, over 300,000 "deviations" with the tag "Adventure Time" have been uploaded to the art-sharing site Deviantart.com, which doesn't allow users under 13 years old, right at the threshold of the target demographic.
The most dedicated, and in turn, the most consumeristic, fans are over 18. The long answer is slightly more difficult. Adventure Time can certainly be viewed as a very typical kids show.

The main characters are Finn, a normal 12-year-old human, and Jake, a talking, shapeshifting dog. They inhabit the world of Ooo, a chaotic wonderland of sentient cupcakes, infinite trains and an alarming number of princesses. Is Adventure Time appropriate for a 2-year-old? Adventure Time is a cool show but your 2 year old should be watching shows that are actually designed for 2 year olds.
