Ultra Ego was created by Toyotarou and added to the story after Toriyama greenlit it. The name was chosen to be in line with Ultra Instinct 's names and also to fit with Vegeta. Vegeta's appearance in the form was based off Beerus, as he is also a user of Ultra Ego himself.

Now, new art has revealed the official look, just ahead of Jump Festa 2022. Ultra Ego has kept its colors close to chest, but creator Toyotaro is mending the gap. After all, a new piece of his artwork has gone live, and it shows how Vegeta rocks the form in color.
Vegeta's transformation has inevitably ignited fans of Dragonball Super, although many have introduced their own color scheme. Black hair? Violet? White gray? And what color for the eyes? All of these questions have remained unanswered until now, but now Toyotaro has shown everyone that official coloring of Vegeta Ultra Ego. Thanks to Jump Festa 2022, Toyotaro has drawn the OFFICIAL colors of Ultra Ego Vegeta in Dragon Ball Super Manga.
