FNaF 3: Springtrap is the only animatronic that can kill the player, a Custom Night for that game would not work. FNaF 4: Probably could have been done but Scott probably didn't feel like including it or didn't feel it would worked as well as the first 2 games. It got many animatronics! It could bring more replay value like in fnaf 2 there are many! nights! and many animatronics! This recoded version was made with the purpose of making FNaF 4 more fun, and implementing Mangle, Fredbear and Nightmare so they work with the other animatronics without the need of a '4am segment'.
And in FNAF 2 you could use the custom night to learn where animatronics actually go, but in FNAF 3, Springtrap moves everywhere, and the phantoms appear during gameplay at a few special points (which means you don't need a custom night to "explore").
