Snowflake, along with Pink Daisy, was released in 1956 as the first printed pattern on the opal PYREX line. The printed patterns were advertised as "NEW Pyrex Decorator Casseroles." The clear covers were meant for multi-purpose use, either as a trivet to protect the table or as an additional serving dish. The Turquoise Diamond Pattern, for example, has a price ranging between $100 and $600.
It is closely followed by the Snowflake Pattern which costs $75 to $599.99. Third on the most valuable rare vintage Pyrex patterns is the Cinderella Pattern which costs $50 to $350.
