I don't know about Corel but in CAD software I'd try exploding the curve (convert to lines) in the first software before exporting. Then you may get a finer set of edges to take to SketchUp, where you can weld them into a curve. It appears that you are importing a curved shape that SketchUp is crudely translating to a few edges, so make the edges first.
Achieving smooth curves in Sketchup is essential for creating realistic and visually appealing models. By using the Arc tool and exploring plugins like Bezier Curve Tool and Fredo6's Curviloft, you can take your curve-making skills to the next level. So go ahead and experiment with these tools and techniques to create stunning curves in Sketchup! SketchUp is mostly about planes, edges, and surfaces.
You can create a curved surface in SketchUp fairly easily though. Read this article to learn how. Create a set of tangent arcs.
The line turns black. (Optional) Curves in SketchUp are actually made up of a series of line segments. The more segments, the smoother your curve.
After drawing a curve you may decrease the segmentation of your curve using modifier keys: For Windows users, press the Ctrl - to decrease segments and Ctrl + to increase segments. Feeling frustrated about how to draw smooth curves? Getting lots of jagged edges and weird lumpy shapes? Want to make the whole process easier and less stres. We're here to help! This tutorial will show you how smooth curves in Sketchup.
It's a quick project and best of all, it doesn't require any special software. If you want to about making neat shapes in Sketchup, check out our blog post on the subject where we walk through the process step-by-step: []. Sketchup Pro is a powerful tool for 3D designers looking to create complex, organic shapes.
One of the most challenging aspects of using Sketchup Pro is drawing curved surfaces that look smooth and natural. However, with the right tips and techniques, it is possible to master this skill and create stunning 3D designs that are sure to impress. Does anyone know how to draw a smooth curved line, using only native Sketchup tools? Also know, how do you draw a curved path in Sketchup? With the Line tool (), click and drag to draw the line.
As you drag, a curvature control extends from the start point. Release the mouse button, and without clicking, move the cursor to set the curve's direction and size, as shown on the left in the following figure. Vector graphics create smooth lines and curves.
When you bend lines and shapes in LayOut, you use Bézier curve controls - namely paths, points, and curvature controls. A Bézier curve is basically a special kind of vector graphic.
