What Color is Ichigos Getsuga Tenshou in the thousand years blood war arc? Maybe its unknown but even coloured manga panel seem to have different colors ranging from blue, red, black, purple, and gold. So is it specified or are people just having fun? Archived post. Blue - This color symbols alll the limits Old Man/Young Man Zangetsu put on Ichigo's spiritual power to prevent him from becoming a shinigami and also represents him being the main source of Ichigo's powers at the time, giving his Shikai Getsuga Tenshou the feel of a Quincy as Ichigo is unknowingly using Quincy powers in a shinigami technique. Ichigo's reiatsu and Getsuga Tenshou was always intended by Kubo to be golden in color. While his bankai was meant to be black with a silver underglow & edge.
But that can't be shown in black & white manga well, and his distinction of color likely wasn't well communicated at first. Just something I noticed. Old Man Zangetsu's Getsuga: light blue.

Ichigo Kurosaki, the protagonist of the manga and anime series Bleach, is known for his bright orange hair. However, in episode 310, Ichigo's hair turns black as he unleashes his power using the final Getsuga Tenshō, the Shiba clans' ultimate technique. This change in hair colour is significant as it signifies Ichigo's heritage and power, with all original Shiba clan members having black hair.
But at least we saw Getsuga Jujishō shine (literally) in the anime. Also, was it stated somewhere that the blue Getsuga used by Ichigo in the original anime was a Quincy variation of the technique? The red outline was only added in the anime (probably to signify the Hollow powers). Fusing with the Hollow powers should still have blue/yellow Getsuga (maybe all red).
His new Bankai Getsuga was still shown as a light color, not black. It's possible that the black part could be because of his Quincy powers not Hollow powers.
