Is Skylanders Swap Force Backwards Compatible
So far all Portals are backwards compatible. This means that the newest Portal will work with all the older games. While this holds true for the first few games, Trap Team and SuperChargers have started breaking these rules.
Another factor that we need to address is compatibility between consoles. None of the Xbox 360 Skylanders games are backwards compatible unfortunately. The only way you can play Skylanders on Xbox One consoles is to buy the native Xbox One versions of the games.

The Portal of Power included with Skylanders Swap Force is about half the height of the portal from the first two games.
