Yugioh wiki has the card effect of the anime you know that right? You must Tribute 3 monsters to Normal Summon this card. If Special Summoned from the GY: Send it to the GY during the End Phase. Unaffected by non-targeting effects or effects that remove it from the field, except a DIVINE monster.
Would releasing legal Ra with it's actual anime effects like this really been THAT broken for the time? Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. For the appearance of "The Winged Dragon of Ra" in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Pyramid of Light, see "The Winged Dragon of Ra" (later anime).
The real life version of the Winged Dragon of Ra only has the abilities listed on its card, specifically it has tremendously scaled-back versions of its anime "Point-To-Point Transfer" and "Egyptian God Phoenix" abilities. The anime Egyptian Gods were always tricky to nail down because of the anime's inconsistency on applying manga elements (like Ra having auto-immunity to Slifer and Obelisk in the manga just wasn't ported to the anime for whatever reason). Only 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra" can be on the field.

If you want to have a Winged Dragon of Ra that has ATK and can use its second effect, you're kind of stuck with either: a LP gain deck, or a deck more dedicated to summoning Ra using Ancient Chant. No idea, they should have kept the "gains attack equal to all tribute monsters' attack" effect on the actual card at least. Although they later printed many spells/traps that give Ra its anime effects.
Winged Dragon of Ra from the anime Yu-Gi-Oh!. The Winged Dragon of Ra is anything but ordinary. It is the most powerful Duel Monster in existence and comes with six abilities: Point to Point transfers all but.
