The Native American tribe of the Lenni-Lenape (or the Delaware) were the earliest-known inhabitants of the Souderton area. On June 6, 1887, residents of Souderton applied for a charter of incorporation to the Montgomery County Court. Souderton is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, with a population of 7,246 in 2022.
It has a history of Welsh and German settlement, industrial development, and a historic district listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
