Metro just opened its Regional Connector, with three new subway stops, and the ride's a veritable underground art museum. Come along with us for a tour.
The job of the artists is to incorporate art into a wide array of transportation projects throughout Los Angeles County. From bus stops to rail stations, streetscapes to bus interiors, construction fences to poetry works, art creates a sense of place and engages transit riders. Riders passing through Los Angeles' three new underground subway stations might reasonably think they've entered an underground museum.
