Missing/Additional text/images on a card. Incorrect. Pikachu: The Japanese Glossy version and Portuguese Pikachu World Collection 2000 version both erroneously credit Ken Sugimori as the illustrator instead of Keiji Kinebuchi.
Electabuzz / Mewtwo / Pikachu / Dragonite: These four promotional cards were accidentally printed with the Pokémon the First Movie logo upside down in the lower left corner. Was going through my old cards last night and found that I have a Pikachu Edition 1 error/misprint card. I searched the internet trying to find info on the card but could only find one small write up about it being pretty rare and I found a couple on eBay but even those don't really talk about the card.
In searching I found that there was actually a few misprints with this card in particular. The Ivy Pikachu Error was mistakenly included in a very small number of 1st edition Jungle booster packs. The total number of these error cards are unknown, but they are universally acknowledged to be the rarest, and most expensive, cards in the Jungle expansion.
Instead, let's focus on some easier to identify and more common errors that be found in nearly every set of Pokemon cards because they are related to the quality control of the printing/cutting process not based on the colors or information printed on the card. These errors are easy to spot even to new collectors such as square cut corners versus the correct die cut (rounded) corners or OC.
