Troll characters will receive five new hair colors as part of their customization options in Patch 10.2.5! Below we've previewed all the different hair colors colors on male and female Trolls. 10.2.5 comes with additional customization updates for Draenei with a new skin color option as well as options for Demonic Tyrant and Darkglare demon pets for Warlocks! New Troll Hair Colours in Shadowlands We have three new hair colours coming in Shadowlands. These colours include two natural shades, blonde and brunette, and another vibrant pink option.
We also have three options that were previously Death Knight exclusive, but are now available to all classes. These are the final three. Overview of all the Troll Druid color variations for Bear Form, Cat Form, Moonkin Form, Tree of Life, and Travel Forms.

Blizzard has released a preview of new Draenei skin colors, Troll hair colors, and Warlock Tyrant and Darkglare demon customizations coming to the in-game Barber Shop in Dragonflight Patch 10.2.5: Seeds of Renewal! New hair colors for Zandalari Trolls have been datamined on the latest PTR. A dark purple/black troll would indeed be a dark troll, the right example would be, to my knowledge, those that evolded into Night Elves due to the Well of eternity's exposure. I believe some of them remained unaltered and these would be the dark trolls found in darkshore dancing during classic, BC and Wotlk.
Orcs varied in shade from brown to gray before drinking the blood, and different types of trolls do indeed have different color skin. It's fairly irrelevant to your quandry, though, since players can only be green orcs and blue (jungle) trolls.
