This section will cover the original Japanese scripts of the video games. Most if not all of them are translated by Windii Gitlord. Note: In 2010 onwards via Sonic Colors, most of the Japanese scripts are done in the opposite way compared to back then.
Where now the English script comes first and the Japanese side rewrites the script. The waxiness on distant objects and characters probably won't be to everyone's tastes, but the jaggy Wii originals weren't particularly pretty to begin with, so you'll live.

Sure, the animation stays the same, no fault on the writers, but the Japanese script's tone leans closely towards the likes of the Dark Age era. Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 - Game Script - Kiyoko Yoshimura, ShirÅ Maekawa Up until Sonic Colors, Sonic games were solely credited to Japanese writers. However, Sonic Team continued to write their own versions of the script in Japanese, while the localized script differed.
A while back I found out that Sonic Colors actually had two story scripts, one for the American audience and another written for the Japanese audience. Recalling how painful Sonic's dialogue had become in my playthrough of Colors in English. I definitely had to check it out.
Couldn't find. Much like the mod I made previously for Sonic Generations (2011), this mod aims to make the English subtitles accurately match the Japanese voices! Also like before, this mod is only possible thanks to Windii's translation! You can find the video for it here! My part is applying the translation into the game itself. Like the majority of Sonic Colors mods, you're gonna have to apply the files.
