Four-leafed clovers Four-leafed clovers, or lucky clovers, are rare; having an approximate 1 in 40 chance of spawning in place of a regular clover. In New Leaf, they are much more difficult to obtain. When one is placed in a house as furniture, it appears as an open book, with the clover used as a bookmark.
I miss a hundred things from New Leaf lol, but today I found myself particularly missing the four-leaf clover item from New Leaf. It was a weed like others and rare, but if you found one and plucked it and then placed it in your house, it appeared as an open book with a clover inside it as a bookmark. Clovers are a weed with three leaves that appear in Animal Crossing: Wild World, Animal Crossing: City Folk, and New Leaf.

Players can pluck weeds from the ground or dig them out with a shovel, just like typical weeds. Carnations can only be obtained on mother's day (10th May) and father's day (21st June) in letters from your parents. Dandelions will appear in your town randomly, as will clovers.
Clovers can be pulled out like weeds and there is a chance of finding a four. Clovers will grow infrequently around town. They can be treated as weeds, however, it is also possible for them to be picked and the player can find a four.

Most produce compound leaves with three leaflets, although occasionally a four. For Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the 3DS, a GameFAQs message board topic titled "The Four Leaf Clover". Clovers is another form of weeds just harmless.

They are obtained after all periods of time in your town, and randomly spawn (chances are more unlikely with a beautiful town). For example if you time travel without care for your town, they chances are it will be covered in weeds. What I do is pick all my weeds but keep the clovers, somehow just keeping a bunch of them around makes them able to.
