Feeding The 4000 Summary
FEEDING OF THE 4000 (MARK 8:1-13)REFLECTION The theme for our reflection is " feeding of the 4000." According to Mark's Gospel, Jesus fed 4000 people with seven loaves of bread and an unknown number of small quantity of fish. The Feeding of the Four Thousand is a miraculous event recorded in the New Testament, specifically in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark. This event is distinct from the Feeding of the Five Thousand, though both share similarities in their miraculous nature and the demonstration of Jesus' compassion and divine provision.
The feeding of the four thousand and the feeding of the five thousand, while similar, are two separate events. Compare them, and the details prove it. And if that's not enough, Jesus himself refers to them as separate events in Mark 8:19-20.

But if we read the whole Bible, this story doesn't surprise us. The story of the miraculous feeding of four thousand serves as a reminder of the importance of discerning the signs of the times and heeding the words of Jesus, as emphasized in Matthew 15 summary and analysis. Some claim that the miracle of the feeding of five thousand and the feeding of four thousand are the same miracle.
But a quick comparison of both miracles reveals that during the feeding of "five thousand," the people were with Jesus for one day. In the Gospels, the most famous miracle associated with Jesus-other than the Resurrection-is the Feeding of the Five Thousand. It's recorded in all four Gospels.

But Matthew and Mark record an additional, similar miracle, known as the Feeding of the Four Thousand. The numbers connected with this miracle are a little different (four thousand people are fed, they use seven loaves and "a.
