CAFE The Literacy CAFE System provides teachers with a way to maximize student understanding of the four key components of successful reading through the use of the CAFE Menu. CAFE is an acronym for Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency, and Expand Vocabulary. The program has expanded to serve more than 700 children each year.
With three mobile classrooms and additional sites in Communities in Schools, area churches, we now serve 24 program sites in Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Rolesville, and Knightdale. This Café Menu set has everything you need to teach the Café Menu in the classroom. The sisters who are responsible for creating the Daily Five, have also created a reading Cafe menu that can be used to teach Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency, and Expanding Vocabulary.
