This is intermittent and vexing issue for pen users. You will notice that the pen is not recognized by the digitizer and it appears that the display or OS is frozen. The OS is not frozen and the tablet pen buttons and keyboard input function normally.
This issue could be caused by a setting that turns the device (pen) off to save power. You can change this setting via the device manager. Do Zebra Pens work in cold weather? In general, the majority of our inks will function as intended in cold temperatures not lower than -5 degrees Celsius, but may vary based on conditions.
Conditions such as air humidity, how long your pen has been expose to the elements, as well as the particular writing surface. The tablet PC does not respond to the pen I am using You may be using an improper input device. Only Motion pens can be used to write on the tablet PC display.

My personal GOAT is the blue g-301 0.7. I've tried a few different similar ones, the sarasa clip is nice, but g-301 still wins. It's just a shame it's so hard to find (reasonably priced) refills for them these days.
The Zebra V-301 is notorious for having reliability problems. The main design flaw with the pen is the ball agitator in the cartridge, which blocks flow to the wick/feed. The Parker short cartridges work better than the Zebra cartridges, but that's an inconvenient solution as the short Parkers are somewhat obscure.
Pen Function Button Doesn't WorkTry adjusting how you hold the pen. Avoid resting your finger on the function button. You can also disable the function button.
To check this, Windows 7 Open Motion Dashboard, then tap Pen & Tablet. Tap Pen & Input Devices and tap the Pen Options tab. To disable the button, clear the checkbox, "Use the pen button as a right-click equivalent." Windows 8.1.
Check the nose of the pen to see whether it's out of round, or has a ding that the tip of the refill is dragging on. Also check that the spring isn't damaged, and that the tip of the refill is going through the middle of the spring. Also check that the refill hasn't leaked inside the pen, or that pocket fluff or something else hasn't gotten into the pen.
Hold the tip of the pen to a flame for a few seconds to unclog the ink. Use a lighter, match, or candle to create a flame, then place just the very tip of your pen in the flame for a few seconds. In many cases, the heat will melt any gummed-up ink near the tip and get the pen working again.
[3] Be careful not to burn yourself or melt the pen. This surely eliminates the problem without losing your pen. So far, you've just learned the quick and free techniques to fix a pen that won't write.
In these techniques, you don't need any materials but creativity. But there are other ways that could also help you fix a pen that won't write. Anyone know how to fix this ink issue? its a new sarasa pen ink and I just removed the red plastic from the pen tip.
