Animal Jam Animal Locations
The Journey Book is a feature that was added to Jamaa when ocean areas came out in an update released October 13, 2011. There is a Journey Book page for every land and ocean area except Jamaa Township. The Paradise Party and Call of the Alphas Party each have a Journey Book page as well.
To complete the book, Jammers must find and click the specific organisms, objects, or features listed on. There are many different animals available for players to choose from. There are land animals and sea animals that can be used to explore different areas of the Jamaa map.

The map consists of 7 land areas and 4 ocean areas that you are free to explore. You play the game as an animal character that you create and customize to make your own. The World Map, formerly named Jamaa World, is a screen that displays a map of Jamaa.

Jammers can click on different portions of the map to teleport to those locations. The top-right side of the map includes a series of buttons that, when clicked, will display certain icons across the maps. The icons available are the Shops, Cinemas, and pet shops of Jamaa and these icons can be clicked to.
