What are reference photos? Reference photos are, in short, photos you look at and often try (to an extent) to copy in your artwork. The most typical example is in realistic work, when someone chooses a photo and tries to copy it as exact as possible. It is also possible to use the photos to a smaller extent - for example, to find a nice color scheme (I know of instances where someone has used.
The only issue I am running into is finding good reference photos of people in very specific poses. Obviously posing people and drawing them live would be the best but is not feasible for me. So far I've mainly been using Google and Pinterest for images, which is fine, but it is really hard to find quality images that match what I need.

If you don't want to use realistic reference photos, you can use stylistic reference photos from artwork shared by numerous artists on DeviantArt. I don't recommend this practice because relying on realistic photos as a reference is better.
