Hulk Vs Thing Comics
In the wake of one of their most epic battles, CBR spotlights the history of the Thing and the Hulk's battles throughout their comic book careers. Meanwhile, the Hulk defeats the Thing in battle and moves on, seeking his revenge against the Avengers. Left behind, the Thing picks himself up and follows after the Hulk, intent on stopping him.
There was a notable battle between the Hulk and The Thing in Fantastic Four #112 (1971), where both characters exchange blows, but the fight ends inconclusively. Needless to say, once "Hulk vs Thing" entered into the Marvel-mythos, the comic-world was never the same. And the comic readers couldn't get enough, they kept flooding the Marvel offices with fan mail wanting more of this titanic match up.

Both their fight and the Hulk/Thing battle take place partially on the George Washington Bridge. I haven't consulted it, but I'm pretty certain the bridge would say the Hulk/Thing fight was the bigger battle. I'm going with that.
