Hockey Field Colour

For Category 1, 2 and 3 fields the markings should be white in colour, for category 4 and 5 fields, white is the preferred colour, especially when hockey is the principal sport being played on a field. What colour can a hockey field be? FIH currently specify that the colour of the field of play should be a uniform shade of green or a uniform shade of dark blue. There are no restrictions on the colour of the runoffs, unless the pitch is being used for televised matches, in which case the FIH now advocate club fields and run offs being one colour.
