In the modern Hobby a "color match" occurs when a card's border matches the player's uniform or team colors. This 2024 Topps card of Mookie Betts is a nice example.The amateur baseball card researcher could definitely have some fun figuring out the Hobby's earliest "color match" variations, but that's not quite the direction I'll take in this article. Does anyone have examples of when a so called "color match" creates a premium? BASEBALL.
