Supports Plasma 5 and KDE4 INSTALLATION You just need to run the script. If you want to change the color of your folder icons without installing a new icon set, Dolphin Folder Color is a great solution. Download Dolphin Folder Color Once downloaded we proceed to unzip it, it will create a folder called: dolphin-folder-color-1.4 We enter that folder through the terminal (or with the file browser and press [F4] to display the terminal) and execute the file install.sh Didn't you know that the terminal appeared with F4? Dolphin Folder Color 是 KDE 文件夹美化工具,是一个能快速为文件夹美化的"上下文菜单",如今它也可以对选定的"文件夹集"进行美化! Change the colour of the folder; change the colour with which dolphin highlights a selected object; change into another viewing mode. The first is pretty simple, head into theming settings. Re: Is it possible to colorize a folder in Dolphin? #2 by CharlesV Fri Nov 18, 2022 2:14 am There used to be a KDE add on named Dolphin Folder Color that was pretty slick, but I do not know if it is up to the current version.
I tried to install Dolphin Folder Color - KDE Store Dolphin Folder Color but it does not work with the latest KDE 5 only Plasma 5 or KDE4. Does any else know how to have the ability to change folder color in Dolphin with KDE 5? Just for the record. The install.sh of the extension seems to install on Linux only (assumptions where a home folder should be, sed syntax, looking for a wayland file).
I was a bit lazy to debug it on FreeBSD but basically it's replacing/adding a desktop file with a custom icon path to a color folder icon, that's in the breeze iconset.
