He bypassed the Super Saiyan God transformation and uses godly ki in his base form; a state which Dragon Ball Heroes refers to as Saiyan Beyond God. This works perfectly with the theory that SSJ4 Gogeta was just nearing the power of SSJ God but couldn't achieve it because he hadn't broken through the glass ceiling and gained any control of god ki.
