Megumin Staff Color
So, while I was checking out the new season, I couldn't help but notice something interesting about Megumin's staff across the series. In the prequel and the first three episodes of the first season, her staff was blue. Then, in the fourth episode of season one, It turns red and stays red through the rest of season 1 and 2.

Megumin wears a classical witch attire such as a black cloak, a red robe, orange boots and a black wizard's hat, all with gold border and trimmings, alongside black choker, belt, a black stocking in the left leg and fingerless gloves. She carries a brown staff with a floating blue gem that was later updated with a red gem.

[2]. I think the blue staff is a gift from her classmates before she left for axel. All of her belongings came from her friends, they showed it in the manga spin off "gifting this wonderful world with explosions" it shows megumin's back story and her childhood.

The staff looks like it had a lot of hard work put in it that it deserves more than a christmas bauble on a plastic tube as the gem. You could probably hang it with some fishing line on small hooks.
